Being a vampire had a strange feeling to it. The cold skin, the shining in the sun, and me. Having a half-vampire and half-human daughter, Renesmee. I kept having to tell myself that she wasn`t all human or all vampire but half of both. "Momma, are you okay?" Renesmee`s voice had startled me. I had been thinking about the day she was born, but I wasn`t going to tell her that. I played with her hair and answered, "I`m fine Ness. I was just-" What was I doing? I was about to tell her that I was thinking about the day she was born, the day I nearly died, the day I had been transformed into a vampire. "Yes?" She raised an eyebrow out of curiosity. I wasn`t going to tell her, I couldn`t. But, I had to. I half smiled, "Ness, I was just thinking about the day you were born." Renesmee shook her head as if she were remembering that memory too. Renesmee had the craziest way of showing someone her memory, just by a touch of her hand on someone`s face. It`s hard to remember the day she was born, that this was my daughter. MY daughter and nobody elses. Renesmee Carlie Cullen, the most beautiful daughter I had. Come to think of it I don`t have any other daughters besides Renesmee. "Mom, my human half is really hungry right now." This time my eyebrow raised. "Are you sure that`s not your vampire half craving blood?" I tickled her and she fell back on the couch laughing and kicking everywhere. "Mom stop!" She laughed while saying this. My daughter, my beautiful daughter actually laughing. I closed my eyes to cherish this moment. I stopped and stared into the distance. "Mom?" She touched her hand to my face immediately seeing what I was seeing. She kept her hand there staring off into space, seeing everything I was seeing. And after hours of her hand on my face she suddenly pulled away. "Nessie are you okay?" She nodded but her face showed fear. I was beginning to worry.
